It was a hard decision.

We have discussed for a longer time how we can continue development of Journaler. We really love Journaler, it is like a child to us. But finally we all agreed that we need to let it go.

But don’t be sad! We have decided to open source Journaler! Now all source code of Journaler is available for everyone under very friendly MIT licence. We  hope someone will take this opportunity and make Journaler much better. Full source code is available at GitHub.

And we will still provide support to Journaler users till November 30, 2012. If you have any questions, please send us an email to support@a25apps.com. We will also keep Journaler on the App Store, thus we can provide maintenance updates, if required.

A new version (1.3.2) of Journaler – a LiveJournal client for iPhone is available on the App Store.

Changes in the new version:

• Added friends page filtering by friend group.
• Reduced memory usage.
• Other minor fixes and tweaks.
